Crown Prince to attend funeral of Ratu Cokanauto Tu'uakitau [1]

The Crown Prince Tupouto’a ‘Ulukalala will lead a royal family group tomorrow, to attend the funeral of the late Ratu George Cokanauto Tu’uakitau, to be held on Saturday, 23 September, in Suva, Fiji.
The royal family group will include the Crown Prince, Crown Princess Sinaitakala, Princess ‘Ofeina ‘e he Langi Fakafanua, Hon. Lupepau’u Taione, and other family members.
Ratu Tu'uakitau is a descendant of Tonga's King Tupou II and Adi Litia Cakobau, who was part-Tongan, of the Veikune chiefly family.
He was the son of the former Fijian Deputy Prime Minister in the Alliance Government, the Late Bau Chief Ratu Sir Edward Tuivanuavou Tungi Cakobau (Tungi Fisi) and Adi Lady Vasemaca Tuiburelevu.
Ratu Tu'uakitau is the younger brother of the former Fijian President and Speaker of Parliament, Ratu Epeli Nailatikau.
Ratu Tu’uakitau passed away on Wednesday 13 September, 2023 at the age of 78 years and is survived by his widow Taraivosa Lagilagi and their four children, Ratu Penaia Kadavulevu, Ratu Jone Savou, Ratu Edward Tavanavanua, and Adi Litia Tuiburelevu.
