Tonga Police headquarters welcomed children from the Maamaloa Kindergarten, who visited under an educational program, on Friday, 1 September.

Tonga Police stated that they are committed to foster positive relationships with the community.

The children were entertained by the Royal Tonga Police Band (RTPB) at the Band Complex before they joined a special march to the ‘Akau’ola Parade Ground, led by one of the children.

Police Officers from  Public Order Management, Tactical Response Group, Traffic and Road Safety, Detector Dogs, Search and Rescue (Police Boat and Emergency Operations Coordination Centre) and Officer Safety, took part in the visitor program.

The children learned about the roles of police officers and looked at the Police equipment on display, which included a Police baton, shield, vest, and sirens.

Principal teacher, Rachel Kinikini said the children enjoyed the visit and would remember it for a long time.
