Tongan Tala suffers second loss to England Vitality Roses [1]

The Tonga Tala suffered their second defeat in the pool matches of the Netball World Cup, losing to England’s Vitality Roses (72-46) yesterday, 31 July.

England came through a physical test to beat Tonga and start the second pool phase of the Netball World Cup with an improved display in Cape Town.

BBC said that England made slow starts during their three wins in the first pool stage but against Tonga they moved quickly and with more cohesion through the court.

Monday marked the start of the second pool phase, which will determine which teams qualify for the semi-finals.

Eleanor Cardwell told BBC Sport that it was a pretty tough match going against Tonga.

Tonga ranked seventh in the world, increased their tempo, restricting England to a 16-14 third quarter.

The Tonga Tala will be going up against Malawi on 3 August.
