Financial training for Tonga Red Cross staff and volunteers [1]

Sixteen staff and volunteers of the Tonga Red Cross Society took part in a Finance and Procurement training programme, aimed to strengthen their understanding and build their capacity on financial sustainability.

The training was facilitated by the International Federation of Red Cross (IFRC), with delegates from Australia and Fiji, including Cassie Stephens (Logistics delegate) and Patrea Ryan (Finance development delegate).

“Financial sustainability is important to enhance our organizations preparedness and response capabilities, ultimately reducing the impact of disasters on communities and promoting a more resilient future,” said a spokesperson from TRCS.

 The training in Nuku'alofa was held from 18-20 July.
