Kapelieli Militoni Lanumata, new MP elected for Tongatapu 10 [1]

Kapelieli Militoni Lanumata won the Tongatapu 10 By-Election with 870 votes and secured his seat in the Legislative Assembly of Tonga, n yesterday's by-election.
The Electoral Commission results showed Kapelieli Lanumata had a clear lead ahead of Matani Nifofa, who came in second with 621 votes, during a By-Election on 13 July.
Fotu Kuohiko Valeli Fisi’iahi came in third with 507 votes, followed by Danial Kimball Fale with 139 votes, and then Senimili Tui’onetoa Fonua with 122 votes.
A total of 2,261 voters turned out to vote.
The five candidates contested the seat vacated by the late Hon. Pohiva Tu’i’onetoa (71) who passed away on 18 March this year.
Kapelieli Lanumata becomes the third representative for Tongatapu 10, since the political reform of 2010.
Tongatapu 10 constituency includes Afā, ‘Eueiki, Hoi, Kolonga, Lapaha, Makaunga, Manuka, Navutoka, Niutoua, Nukuleka, Talafo'ou and Talasiu.
