Princess Pilolevu makes first visit to New Zealand Chancery [1]

HRH Princess Salote Mafile’o Pilolevu Tuita visited the New Zealand High Commissioner Chancery for the first time, on 10 July, almost 38-years since it was opened in Nuku’alofa.

New Zealand High Commissioner Matthew Howell received the Princess and she met High Commission staff and toured the Chancery.

In August 1985, the then Prime Minister of New Zealand, Rt Hon David Lange, during an official visit to Tonga opened the current New Zealand Chancery building.
