Cyber security training for IT personnels [1]

The Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT) Tonga and Trustwave hosted a three-days training for IT personnel from Internet Service Providers, Tonga Police and the Prime Minister’s Office on 23-24 March.
The workshop was hosted by Trustwave, a global security company in managed security services and managed detection and response. Participants were introduced to the services offered by the company, and the platform available for rapid threat detection and response to counter cyber-attacks, facilitated
The two-way communication and collaboration between Trustwave and CERT Tonga began in 2020 followed by a virtual Cybersecurity workshop in 2021 (Incident Response and Threat Intelligence Briefing).
The procurement of ICT infrastructure from Trustwave to support CERT Tonga’s platform began last year. At the end of 2022, hardware equipment was shipped to Tonga and plans were underway for the deployment of the Trustwave Cyber Architecture & Integration (Pacific) team to install and configure the ICT infrastructure (Cybersecurity). This included three Servers, Scecurity Information and Event Monitoring, Network Security and Endpoint Monitoring solutions and cabling and networking
Security logging Software and analytics applications with licenses were donated as well.
The new ICT Infrastructure was installed on 11-25 March 2023 and handed over to CERT Tonga and PMO’s Digital Transformation Department.
Trustwave have installed similar infrastructure in Samoa, Vanuatu, Fiji and Solomon Islands.
