Body found, identified as missing man Talanoa Lemoto [1]

The body of Talanoa Leakona Lemoto (35) who went missing on Wednesday night, 7 December was found today, 13 December.

Tonga Police said today that divers at Tu’imatamoana Wharf recovered his body inside his orange car, underwater.

An investigation is being held to determine the cause of death.

Tonga Police extended their deepest condolences to his wife and family. They also acknowledged the assistance from members of the public, who assisted police in the search, as well as Eco Reef Tonga divers.

From Hala-’o-vave, Talanoa was reported missing by his family and his photo released.

Police had earlier reported that he was last seen on Wednesday night, 7 December, at Nauti Ruby's Bar at Ma'ufanga.

Someone reported seeing him driving away in an orange car, Honda Fit - C24480 and he was wearing a red Tonga College ['Atele] collar-shirt and a gray tupenu.
