First Promotion Recognition Ceremony for Tonga Police achievers [1]

Fourteen police officers were recognized in the first Tonga Police Promotion Recognition Ceremony on 3 October, at the Tonga Police Headquarters in Longolongo.

This new initiative was introduced by Commissioner Shane McLennan for police officers who were promoted since mid-May. The ceremony was attended by nine of the officers.

Officers promoted to Sergeant:

  • Sēmisi Tupou
  • Manu Tu’ivai
  • Kaliopasi Mahe
  • Sipiliano Fifita
  • Kaati Taufa
  • Paea-‘i-Levuka Penisoni 
  • Sālesi Napa’a
  • Sioi Lousiale
  • ‘Alamoti Langi

One officer was promoted to Inspector: Sipiliano Tapueluelu.

One officer was promoted to Chief Inspector: Faafetai Peluafa.

Officers promoted to Superintendent included, Saimone Fifita, Siaosi Paseka abd Lemoto Pili.

The Promotion Recognition Ceremony will be an ongoing official event for Tonga Police, aiming to cultivate pride and recognition of achievements.

The next ceremony is planned for the beginning of January 2023.
