Tonga’s new Police Commissioner arrives from Australia [1]

Tonga's Police Commissioner designate Rodney McLennan, otherwise known as Shane, is expected to be sworn in, after he completes his seven-days quarantine in Nuku'alofa next week.
The Prime Minister, Hon. Hu’akavameiliku, announced this afternoon that the King had approved the appointment.
Commander MacLennan from Australia, will take up the position for three-years.
Brigadier Lord Fielakepa of HMAF has been Acting Police Commissioner, since the departure of former Police Commissioner Stephen Caldwell to New Zealand last year, after completing a six-year term in Tonga.
According to Commander McLennan's LinkedIn profile, he served with the Australian Federal Police for over 14 years.
His most recent posting was Airport Police Commander - Gold Coast Airport in Queensland, Australia.
