The Dux of Tonga College was awarded to 'Eliki Laume (17) at the prize giving ceremony for the boys secondary school today, at Fungamanamo’ui, Ha’ateiho.

HRH Princess Pilolevu Tuita awarded the Form 7 student's prizes for Geography, Physics and Information Technology.

The Princess, in congratulating the students for completing and achieving this academic year, said this is an important milestone, considering the global pandemic of COVID-19.

The prize giving was held to a full house of parents and families at the school’s Lopaukamea Hall, with the Minister for Education and Training, Hon Hu’akavameiliku present.

The Government's Tonga College is 139-years old this year.

Meanwhile,, other secondary schools' also held prize giving ceremonies this week, marking the end of the 2021 academic year in Tonga.
