A massive presentation of food for more than 1,200 guests on Sunday May 6 at Nukunuku marked the end of a week-long wedding celebration for Hon. Fanetupouvava'u and Second Lieutenant Siaosi Kiu Tau-ki-Vailahi Kaho.

The feast celebrated the first Sunday together of the newly weds. The providers of food were from the three villages in the estate of Noble Tu'ivakano, the father of the groom, and from the relatives of the groom's mother who travelled from as far away as the USA, Australia and New Zealand to be in Tonga for the celebration.

During the feast a torrential downpour - one's of Tongatapu's heaviest rainfalls this year - did not discourage the feasters who were sheltered under huge marquees.

The Sunday feast concluded the Royal family wedding celebration. The bride is a niece of King George Tupou V.
