Climate Change information portal launched [1]

Department of Climate Change portal.

An online portal [2] containing the government’s work on climate change was launched at a workshop last Friday, 26 March.

The portal includes information such as documents, projects, donors, policies, bills, legislations, plans and all awareness activities around climate change.

Representatives from NGOs, private sectors as well as donor partners (online) among others attended.

Meanwhile the workshop following the launch was to refine key messages about climate change adaptation and the Joint National Action Plan II to promote to the public via media.

MEIDECC CEO Paula Ma’u said the Joint National Action Plan II was created as a necessary document to bind the whole country towards integrating Climate Change and Disaster Risk Management into every level of development planning and in the execution of programs and activities.

The workshop was funded by the NDC partnership, the NAP Global Network and the International Institute for Sustainable Development in collaboration with the Department of Climate Change’s Communication Division.
