Christmas activities organized by Digicel Tonga marked the beginning of the festive season at Digicel Square in Nuku’alofa this afternoon, 20 November.

Children enjoyed jumping castles, colouring-in activities, spin-the-wheel, face painting, prize giveaways, photos with Father Christmas, and the Christmas tree lighting, with a variety of performances.

The event started with a Christmas parade from Taufa’ahau Domestic Wharf to Digicel Square.

Earlier today, Digicel Tonga also announced it is offering customers the chance to win over $50,000 worth of prizes this Christmas, including cash prizes, smart phones, and TV screens.

Digicel Tonga CEO Anthony Seuseu said they want to share more with customers this year, especially with the impact of CoViD-19.

In the weeks leading up to Christmas, the telephone and internet provider is also planning Christmas giveaway events in the community, including the Mango Tree Centre and the Vaiola Hospital Children's Ward.
