Passengers released from quarantine after negative CoViD-19 test [1]

The 252 repatriated passengers from Auckland and Brisbane have been released from quarantine after testing negative for CoViD-19 confirmed Dr Siale ‘Akau’ola on Saturday evening, 14 November.
The passengers have been sent home for one extra week of home quarantine for added safety, he said.
Meanwhile, two repatriation flights are planned to Tonga this month. One is due to arrive from Auckland on 19 November, and the second from Brisbane on 24 November.
To date, a total of 671 people have been repatriated to Tonga from Fiji, New Zealand, Kiribati, Solomon Islands, Vanuatu, and Australia, including one person who disembarked from a fishing vessel.
Tonga is now one of seven (7) countries in the Pacific that is CoViD-19 free after Vanuatu recently recorded its first CoViD-19 case.
