Police arrest man with meth in vehicle [1]

A 33-year-old man was arrested with 11 packs of methamphetamine (4.02 grams) on Vuna Road at Ma’ufanga on Wednesday, 7 October.
The Tonga Police Drug Enforcement Taskforce seized the drugs and drug utensils from inside the man’s vehicle.
The accused has been charged with possession of illicit drugs and is to appear at the Magistrate Court at a later date.
Acting Deputy Commissioner Tevita Vailea said Police are committed to disrupt and detect the supply of drugs and hold those responsible to account.
“We encourage anyone who may have information about drug related offending to contact 22782.”
The Drug Taskforce is continuing to disrupt the supply of illicit drugs, targeting drug dealers who sell drugs from vehicles in an on-going drugs operation.
