Telusa Veainu (29) has signed a three-year contract with Stade Francais, a French professional rugby union following his exit from Leicester Tigers.
Sky Sports reported he was one of five players who left Leicester last week, including England centre Manu Tuilagi, after refusing a 25 per cent wage cut for the 2020-21 season.
Veainu is the first to find a new club, joining Top 14 strugglers Stade, who sat bottom of the table when the season was cancelled due to coronavirus.
The Paris club had also signed South African lock Gerbrandt Grobler from Gloucester on a two-year contract.
Veainu was awarded Player of the Year by England’s Rugby Players’ Association in 2018.
He has represented Tonga with the 'Ikale Tahi National Rugby Union team.
