I read with interest the letter recently published by the Director of the Tonga Electric Power Board and the Minister for Transport.

As a tax payer can I please ask what are the terms of this 'loan', including:

1. What rate of interest will the Government be collecting from this loan?

2. What are the repayment terms i.e when do you expect it to be repaid in full.

3. What guarantee does the government have on the repayment of this loan?
