LDS Church suspends public gatherings worldwide [1]

The Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter-day Saints has temporarily suspended all public gatherings worldwide, until further notice, as a response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Area Seventy-Pacific Area Elder 'Inoke Fotu Kupu stated on March 17 that people had questioned why Members are having Sunday worship in their homes.
 
“We hope that this will clear these questions,” he said, calling it “a temporary adjustment.”

The First Presidency and Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, announced the suspension last week, after monitoring COVID-19's changing conditions around the world.

This includes stake conferences, leadership conferences and other large gatherings, as well as all public worship services, sacrament meeting and branch, ward and stake activities

It advised where possible leaders should conduct any essential leadership meetings via technology.

Tonga

Meanwhile, according to the church's statistics (website), Tonga has the largest number of Latter-day Saints per capita of any nation in the world. 

It comprise of 21 stakes (170 congregations in 32 branches) with 65,532 total church membership and one temple.
