Think tank appoints 10 board members [1]

Independent think tank, the Royal Oceania Institute (ROI), announced ten new board members on 3 March.
They include Lord Fakafanua (Chairman), HRH Princess Mele Siu’ilikutapu, HE Cardinal Mafi, Dr ‘Ana Taufe’ulungaki, Joyce Mafi, Dr Kaitu’u Funaki, Minoru Nishi, Magistrate Loupua Kuli, Sione Taumoefolau and Viola ‘Ulakai.
The ROI [2] goals are to support and pursue Pacific-centered, ethical, fact-based research and analysis. This includes facilitating open dialogue on topics relevant to community, sustainable development, and regional relations.
Since its launch on 31 March 2016, ROI has held talks by Canadian author and strategic thinker Cleo Paskal who is the research lead on Chatham House’s ‘Perceptions of Strategic Shifts in the Indo-Pacific to 2024’ project; Mr Mitch Feierstein a British-American investor, banker, writer, and consultant; and Hon Dr ‘Aisake Eke former Minister of Finance and National Planning.
The patron of the think tank is HRH Crown Prince Tupouto'a 'Ulukalala.
