The Editor,

After the day of looting and rampage, I sat back and wondered in awe.

Its saddens me to see that the sweat and toil of hard working people have all gone down in rubbles and ashes. This clearly demonstrates the lack of appreciation Tongans have for those who have helped build business and trade in the Kingdom.

I without any doubt, totally and squarely blame the People's representatives for orchestrating all this. What were they thinking, that the transition could be implemented overnight or at the screams and barking of senseless people. Its a big shame to use commoners as political tools to wage warfare against the Crown.

Democracy must be fully understood in its entirety before it can be implemented. State machinery and systems must be in place to ensure that democracy functions as intended by the people and all stakeholders. Even hype-democratic countries still have their problems. Democracy in layman's terms means "style of government" and not necessarily some kind of ambrosia that could feed the hungry and eradicate poverty.

The People's Representatives must stop amusing themselves at the expensive of the people. Democracy must not be exaggerated to win the confidence of the people. I strongly recommend that the PRs get qualified degrees like I did to get a better and vivid understanding of how democracy works and its ill effects.

Now when I see the town in rubbles and ashes blowing in the wind, I wonder if the PRs can foot the bill for reconstruction. If the answer to that is no then they should be gathered and shot for crime against humanity. Their actions were premeditated and commissioned without serious thought to the likely consequence that would ensue. They neither understand democracy nor deserve it.

They have skillfully sown the seed of destruction, contempt instead of discontent, violence instead of dialogs and perseverance, polluted and poisoned minds instead of imparting constructive knowledge, caused a bleak future for many especially innocent children instead of high hopes for a better and brighter Tonga.

They have stretched their campaign too far that many have fallen or led astray. Families must be wondering where their next meal will come from especially with the loss in jobs and business for many. The PRs should do community service by feeding these families.

I think its time that they stopped barking and hand over the reins to better and qualified people who can do the job much better and without much dragging innocent Tongans back fifty years down the road.

Its is because of Idiotic and senseless people like the PRs that well qualified people as well as those who have a heart to serve the kingdom have stayed away.

I challenge the PRs to stop all the drama and use the common sense that is left in them to serve the people or else the two words

Tu'u tamaki and masiva will become the daily menu for many.

God Help Tonga
