Royal family attend Bill Waterhouse funeral [1]

King Tupou VI and Queen Nanasipau’u, joined the Waterhouse family to farewell William (Bill) Waterhouse at a funeral service yesterday, 19 December, in Sydney, Australia.
Princess Pilolevu Tuita, Princess Lātūfuipeka Tuku’aho, Lord Tuita, and Hon Fanetupouvava’u Tu’ivakano, along with members of the Tongan community, also attended the service held at St Mary’s Catholic Church in North Sydney.
Bill Waterhouse had a long association with Tonga, serving as its Honorary Consul to Australia for 44 years before he retired in 2010.
He passed away on 22 November at the age of 97.
His family are high profile betting figures in Australian racing. He was a barrister, hotelier, who became renowned as the world’s biggest bookmaker.
He is survived by his children (Rob & Louise), grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
