Classical musician Caroline Elizabeth Hurrell-Grint, (21), of British-Tongan descent, has graduated from the prestigious University of Cambridge, England, with an honours degree.
After completing a three years degree course studying Music, Caroline graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in June.
Caroline's maternal grandparents are George and Olivina Hurrell from Kolofo'ou, Tongatapu. Her parents are Elizabeth and John Grint, who live in London, United Kingdom.
Caroline's interest in classical music developed at a young age, when she started learning to play the clarinet at nine years old. At the age of 16 years she attained her performance diploma, and gained a place in the National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain, where she performed at venues such as the Royal Albert Hall, London, and the Berlin Konzerthaus.
She now teaches music at the Queen Elizabeth's School for Boys, Barnet, England.
Caroline is also a keen artist. During her time at Cambridge she produced concert posters, and recently completed a commission to design the cover for a trilogy of books on Women Composers.
The family are especially proud as Caroline's younger sister, Jennifer, has also achieved a place at Cambridge, studying Psychology.
