Tongan Judokas secure three medals [1]

Heavyweight judoka Finetu’ui Moala won two medals for Tonga, securing a Bronze in the over 100kg weight category and Silver in the open heavyweight category of the 2019 Pacific Games in Samoa. A second Bronze model was won by Sailosi Ealelei in the under 100kg weight division.
Finetu’ui settled for a Bronze in the over 100kg weight category but improved his performance in the open category to win a Silver medal, losing out to Tahitian fighter Cyril Gaudemer.
New Caledonia dominated the Judo competition, winning ten gold medals. Fiji dominated the female division, winning gold in five of the ten female weight categories.
