Rev Dr 'Ahio was re-elected as the President of the Free Wesleyan Church of Tonga during the 96th Free Wesleyan Church Annual Conference on June 25 in Nuku’alofa.

The conference re-elected Rev Dr 'Ahio with 328 votes. He was first elected in 2009.

Rev Dr Tevita Koloa'ia Havea was also re-elected as the Free Weslean Church General Secretary with 281 votes.

The results are to be officially relayed to King Tupou VI who will open the conference and apppoint the President on June 26, at the Centenary Church of the Siasi Fakaonogo Uesiliana Tau'ataina 'o Tonga (SUTT).

Queen Nanasipau’u and Princess Pilolevu Tuita were present at the election this afternoon.

Meanwhile, feasting also started at the Akoteu grounds as hundreds of church members from abroad and the outer islands attends the annual conference, which ends on July 1.
