Man arrested with loaded rifle in Kolofo‘ou [1]

A 28-year-old man was arrested on Saturday, April 6 in Kolofo’ou after being found in possession of a .22 rifle. 

Acting Chief Superintendent Tevita Vailea said today the accused from Nakolo was arrested early morning on Railway Road.

He was found with the loaded rifle and cash, among other goods.

From what in his possession it showed an intent to commit a crime, said the Acting Chief Superintendent.

He has been charged with possession of a loaded firearm in a public area. Investigation continues.
