Tongan valuables stolen in home break-ins [1]

Police are investigating two reported break-ins at homes in Tongatapu, where Tongan valuables and cash were stolen earlier this month.
Acting Chief Superintendent Tevita Vailea said today, a 49-year-old man reported his home was broken into in Tofoa at around 4:00am on April 3.
Tongan mats and tapa worth around $2,600 pa’anga were reported stolen. Police are investigating.
Veitongo
Around the same time, a house at Veitongo was broken into.
A 53-year-old man filed a complaint that cash around $3,800 pa’anga had been stolen from his home.
Police has arrested and charged a male suspect with some of the cash retrieved, said the Acting Chief Superintendent.
