2kg cannabis seized at ‘Eua wharf [1]

Two kilograms of cannabis found in a bag at Nafanua Wharf in ‘Eua was seized by Tonga Police on Thursday, December 13.

Police in Nuku'alofa said today the illicit drug was found in a bag that was to be loaded onto to a ferry scheduled to depart for Tongatapu at around 4:30pm.

A police patrol led to the seizure at the wharf. A man was taken in for questioning but no arrest has been made.

It is believed the bag had belonged to someone who was to bring it to Tongatapu, and an nvestigation continues, said Police.
