Men charged with possession of illicit drugs [1]

Two men who were arrested for allegedly selling illicit drugs at the Tonga High School rugby field on November 29 in Nuku'alofa have been charged.
Tonga Police said today both have been charged with possession of illicit drugs and are remain in custody to appear at the Fasi Magistrate’s Court this week.
The accused includes a 38-year-old man who had escaped in his vehicle but was arrested at his home in Tofoa with one pack of cannabis weighing 0.21 grams.
The other, a 33-year-old man from Pili was arrested at a guesthouse in Kolofo'ou, after police seized 159.13 grams of cannabis packed ready for distribution, 0.34 grams of methamphetamine, drugs paraphernalia and home brew.
Investigation continues.
