Three hospitalized after alleged drunk driving crash [1]

Three men are recovering in Vaiola Hospital after their car crashed into a power pole at Vaini, Tongatapu, on Sunday night, November 11. 

Superintendent Sisi Tonga at the Mu’a Police Station said today the driver of the vehicle had allegedly been consuming alcohol.

The driver who had two passengers crashed the car into the power pole just before midnight. All three sustained injuries and were reported to be in stable condition at the hospital.

Police said they would complete statements when the injured recovered. “The driver will definitely be charged,” said the Superintendent.
