Ambassadors present credentials to King Tupou VI [1]

Ambassadors to Tonga are presenting their credentials to HM King Tupou VI at the Royal Palace in Nuku'alofa this week during Diplomatic Week, 5-9 November.
On 6 November, the Ambassador of Spain HE Mr Fernando Curcio; the Ambassador of Netherlands HE Ms Mira Simone Weldberg; and the High Commssioner of Pakistan HE Dr Abdul Malik presented their credentials. The Ambassadors are based in their embassies in Wellington, New Zealand.
The Ambassador of Estonia HE Mr Andres Unga, and the Ambassador of Finland HE Mr Lars Backstrom, based in their embassies in Canberra, also presented their credentials.
Other ambassadors to Tonga will present their credentials later this week. They include the Ambassador of France HE Mr Sujiro Seam, the Ambassador of the Russian Federation HE Mr Georgy Zuey, the Ambassador of Chile HE Mr Rodrigo Espinosa, and the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea HE Mr Seung-bae Yeo.
The Heads of Mission during their first official visit to Tonga, are also scheduled to meet the Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs, Hon ‘Akilisi Pohiva and the Secretary for Foreign Affairs, Mr Mahe’uli’uli Tupouniua.
