Visitor dies after collapsing at restaurant [1]

A 57-year-old woman from New Zealand died last night, Monday August 27 after collapsing at the Vuna Bar and Restaurant in Nuku'alofa.

Tonga Police confirmed today that the visitor was having dinner when she collapsed. She was rushed to Vaiola Hospital and was confirmed to have passed away.

"However, we are still waiting on the doctor’s report to confirm the cause of death," said the police spokesperson.

The name of the woman, who is understood had recently arrived, has not yet been released.
