Tonga's monarchy plans to establish its own website, the Lord Chamberlain of the Tongan Royal Household, Hon. Fielakepa announced this afternoon, at the Palace Office in Nuku'alofa.

Hon. Fielakepa said that the Tongan Monarchy Web-site would feature historical photographs of the reigning king, Taufa'ahau Tupou IV, historical records of the Tongan Monarch, and the latest news on the health of the king who is lying ill at the Mercy Hospital, Auckland. He said it was essential at this point of time for a regular update, "every six hours, or every 24 hours of the state of the health of the king," to provide the media and the public with the correct information.

The web-site is being created by an Auckland Tongan, Melino Maka and it will be hosted in New Zealand. Melino said that the up-dating of the web-site will be carried out by the staff of the Lord Chamberlain and the staff of the Palace Office. He said that the address of the web-site will be made known on Wednesday, when the site will be officially posted on the internet.
