Tonga’s foreign reserve increases [1]

Tonga’s official foreign reserve continued to grow as the National Reserve Bank of Tonga recorded an increase of $26.8 million for the month of June. The reserves rose to $468.7 million, equivalent to 8.1 months of imports.
The level remains above the Reserve Banks minimum range of 3 to 4 months.
Over the past year, the foreign reserves have risen by $60.8 million.
In addition to the month of June, the months of January, and February, recorded foreign reserves increases of $1.6m, 23.9m, respectively, while during months of March, April, and May, the foreign reserves dipped slightly, $0.3 m, $1.8 m and $4m respectively.
