King opens Vava'u Agricultural Show [1]

The Vava’u Royal Agriculture, Fisheries and Tourism Trade Show was opened by King Tupou VI in Neiafu on Friday, July 13.

Abundant food crops, seafood, fine woven mats and handicrafts were on display during the annual event.

The show continues to Niuatoputapu on July 18, Niuafo’ou on July 19, ‘Eua on July 25 before concluding in Tongatapu on July 28.

Organized by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food, Forests and Fisheries (MAFFF), the show is to encourage the development of these sectors and in the interest of food security.
