Unique island creations at Miss Heilala show night [1]

Unique Island creations and colourful sarongs were showcased on Thursday night July 5, during the final judging events of the 2018 Miss Heilala Pageant, at the Queen Salote Memorial Hall.
 
The 15 contestants wore fantastic island creations made from local materials including coconut shells and fibre, dry coconut, tapa cloth; fine woven mats, and pandanus.

In a second appearance to a cheering crowd, the contestants modeled colourful sarongs followed by a third act, the talent competition that ran on past midnight.

The five finalists with the most outstanding island creations, sarongs and talent in random order were:

The winners and the new Miss Heilala will be announced tonight Friday, July 6, during a Heilala Ball.
