Fifteen computers which cost around $12,000 pa'anga were donated to Tonga High School from Bank South Pacific on June 15.
The donation was made after the school appealed to the bank because they had only 27 computers for 527 students taking computer studies.
BSP Chairman Sir Kostas Constantinou made the presentation and encouraged students to study hard and not to give up.
Students in Form 5-7 are currently doing their internal assessments, which includes Computer Programming and Website Design, so the need for more computers to cater for these students was very high. The assistance from BSP has alleviated some of this pressure, he said.
Principal Taisia Ma’u and students received the much-needed computers.
Tonga High School currently has 1,259 students enrolled.
