Commonwealth Games final results for Tonga, April 10-14 [1]

The Commonwealth Games wrapped up on Sunday April 15 with the last two Tongan athletes competing in Shotput and Shooting on April 13-14 respectively.
Shooter, Henry Liutai hit a total of 63 clays in the Trap Men’s Qualification – Day 1 and Day 2 sessions on April 13-14, where he finished 39th out of 40 competitors. The winner of the two rounds, Michael Wixey of Wales hit a total of 120 clays and went on to win the Gold medal in the finals.
In the Women’s Shotput, Atamaama Tu’utafaiva qualified for the finals after throwing 14.79 on Thursday April 12. In the finals on Friday, April 13, Atamaama threw a personal best of 15.36, finishing 10th out of 12 competitors. Jamaica’s Danniel Thomas-Dodd won Gold throwing 19.36 and New Zealand’s Dame Valerie Adams (who had a baby last October) took out Silver, throwing a seasonal best of 18.70. Dame Adams currently holds the Games Record of 20.47.
Earlier in the week, on Tuesday April 10, Tonga’s Lawn Bowlers Malia Kioa and Caroline Dubois lost to Fiji 11-21. Later that same day they went up against New Zealand but were outclassed 6-29.
On Wednesday April 11, the two lawn bowlers competed against Canada but again lost 12-20.
The Games finished with Australia at the top of the table winning a total of 198 medals (80 Gold, 59 Silver, 59 Bronze). In second place England won 136 medals (45 Gold, 45 Silver, 46 Bronze), and in third place India finished with 66 medals (26 Gold, 20 Silver, 20 Bronze).
Pacific Islands that won medals include Samoa (2 Gold, 3 Silver), Papua New Guinea (1 Gold, 2 Silver), Fiji (1 Gold, 1 Silver, 2 Bronze), Nauru (1 Silver), Vanuatu (2 Bronze), Cook Islands (1 Bronze), and Solomon Islands (1 Bronze).
The games were attended by over 6,600 athletes and team officials from 71 nations and territories.
