Two injured in Fo’ui road crash [1]

A male driver and his front seat passenger are in Vaiola Hospital after being seriously injured in a road crash at Fo’ui on Sunday morning, March 4.
Police said this afternoon that alcohol and speed are suspected to have contributed to this crash, which occured at around 7:00am.
The 27-year-old driver and five other passengers were heading west on Hihifo Road. The driver is alleged to have lost control of the steering wheel and crashed the vehicle into a power pole.
The driver and the passenger (36) remain hospitalized, while the other four passengers avoided severe injuries.
Investigation continues.
