Shipping company supports Tonga Red Cross [1]

Cyclone relief goods are being stored for free by a local company, Dateline Transam Shipping and their partner Pacific Direct Line, valued at more than TOP$20,000 in support of Tonga Red Cross.
By providing logistics and warehouse space, Tonga Red Cross can store and distribute relief items to people impacted by Tropical Cyclone Gita.
Dateline Transam Limited General Manager, Fine Tohi, said "As a Tongan owned company, we have felt the effect of Cyclone Gita on our community and want to support our numerous staff, families and friends who have been affected by this natural disaster”.
“We plan on giving continuous support in the recovery effort and are grateful for the support of Pacific Direct Line to enable us to work with the Red Cross."
Tonga Red Cross Secretary General, Sione Taumoefolau was grateful for the company’s help.
“We will utilize this great offer to stock our relief items that will help our people in the community who are affected. We very much appreciate and are thankful for Dateline Transam Shipping and Pacific Direct Line for their very generous donation.”
Tonga Red Cross volunteers continue to be busy reaching out to people affected by Gita.
