New fire fighters graduate [1]

Ten recruit fire fighters graduated with Certificates of Qualified Fire Fighter on December 20, after completing training at the Central Fire Station in Longolongo.
Sefo Patolo (27) from Tafahi, Niuatoputapu was named Baton of Honour of the TFES Recruit Training No. 9 Qualifying Course.
The fire fighters including one woman also received First Aid Certificates from Fire Commissioner Lofia Heimuli, after two-years of training in the classrom and physical foot drill and fitness level activities.
The new recruits demonstrated skills on the field at the graduation ceremony, attended by their families.
There are currently 107 firefighters including 11 women serving Tonga's Fire and Emergency Services.
