Fire guts home at Sia-ko-Veiongo [1]

Fire at Sia-ko-Veiongo. 20 September 2017.

A blaze engulfed a house at Sia-ko-Veiongo this morning on Wednesday, September 20.

Fire Commander Seliuti Latu said firefighters managed to hose the blaze down and saved some of the belongings inside.

"No one was inside the house when the fire occurred after it was reported to us at around 11:35am from the Central Police Station. We are investigating the cause of the fire," he said.

The house belongs to Lupe ‘Ilaiu situated near the Royal Palace, the Fire Commander confirmed.
