Man identified in Popua death [1]

Kevini Maka (22) has been identified as the man whose body was found dead in a waterway next to Popua Park on Tuesday, September 5.

The deceased who is from Patangata was identified by his parents.

Police are carrying out their investigation and have not released any details yet into the likely circumstances of his death and whether there was anything suspicious or not.

A post-mortem will be held at Vaiola Hospital, to determine the cause of death.

Police received the report of his body being discovered in the waterway near the Patangata area, next to the park on Tuesday afternoon.
