Hivakakala Lango’ia.

Police are looking for Hivakakala Lango’ia (20) who has gone missing in ‘Eua, allegedly being held captive by a man when she last contacted her father in Tongatapu on Sunday, September 3.

The woman had reportedly ran away from her home in Houmakelikao to the outer island of 'Eua, where her boyfriend was living. The man is unknown to her family.

She contacted her father via messenger asking for his help. She reportedly told her father that the man named Pila Fifita had been beating her and holding her captive locked inside a house that oversees the sea area on the outer island.

The father who has since travelled to ‘Eua reported the matter to police.

Police on the island confirmed there was no man by the name Pila Fifita.

A search continues for this missing woman, but there was no trace of her by this afternoon.

Police are calling for anyone who has any information about her to contact the nearest police station.
