Fua'amotu man arrested for planting cannabis [1]

A 45-year-old man was arrested on Friday night, August 25, after police seized 178 cannabis plants, which he allegedly cultivated at his plantation in Fua'amotu.
The Acting Chief Superintendent Tevita Vailea said during their routine Operation Safe Street on the weekend, they received a complaint in relation to the accused on another matter.
Police officers responded to this complaint then also discovered the cannabis which was seized. The accused is charged with possession and cultivation of the illicit drug.
