Veteran ‘Ikale Tahi Prop, Taufa'ao Filise, has been signed again by Welsh rugby club, the Cardiff Blues. Filise has played for the Cardiff Blues since 2006, and is the club’s most capped player. He has so far played 241 games for the Blues.

The Cardiff Blues stated in a media update yesterday that Taufa’ao would play a major role in facilitating the club’s youngsters, many of whom are almost half his age.

Taufa’ao stated in the Blues media update “"I still feel like we're the same age. They are full of energy and still young but I try to compete with them and also look after them because they are the future of the region.

"They have a lot of potential, both have played for Wales Under-20s and then Dillon played for Wales in the summer. They have good futures - they are good around the field and scrummaging."

Taufa’ao – who is a product of Tupou College – has made 17 appearances for Tonga and played in two World Cups.
