Second police officer arrested after armed robbery [1]

A second police officer was arrested on Friday June 2 in relation to the armed robbery of a shopkeeper at Ma’ufanga on May 20, Tonga's Police Commissioner Stephen Caldwell said today.
Two suspects were initially arrested on May 23 and were charged with robbery.
The arrested officer, a 23-years old man, has been charged with conspiracy to commit robbery.
He is remanded in custody to appear at the Fasi Magistrate Court on June 9.
A criminal investigation into this incident is continuing, Tonga Police stated.
