Cyclone Ella warning remain in force for Niuas [1]

A Tropical Cyclone warning remains in force for the Niuas today, Wednesday 10 May 2017 as Tropical Cyclone Ella (category 1) is expected to lie north-northwest of Niuafo'ou tonight.
The latest Tropical Cyclone Advisory (no. 8) [2] issued by the Fua'amotu Tropical Cyclone Warning Centre at 3:00pm today 10 May 2017, reported that Tropical Cyclone Ella (1) was located near latitude 14.5 south, longitude 174.5 west or about 179km north-northwest of Niuatoputapu or 169km northeast of Niuafo'ou at 1:00pm this afternoon. The system is moving west at about 4 knots (8km/hr).
On its current track Tropical Cyclone Ella is expected to lie about 115km north-northwest of Niuafo'ou or 280km west-northwest of Niuatoputapu at 01:00am tomorrow morning.
