Junior Japan beats Tonga A 42 - 33 [1]

Junior Japan defeated Tonga A 42 - 33 today in Suva, Fiji. Three of Junior Japan's tries were scored by Tongan export Fuala Makisi. Junior Japan was leading for most of the match, although Tonga A were leading 12 - 0 early in the first half.
Tonga A scored it's first two tries in the form of center Paki Afu. Junior Japan hit back immediately, scoring three tries in sucession to take the lead 21 - 12. Tonga scored it's third try in the form of Fed Kei, closing the gap to 21 - 19. Junior Japan scored a fourth try and led at halftime 28 - 19.
Junior Japan scored the first try of the second-half, extending it's lead to 35 - 19. Tonga A made a comeback with two tries scored by Number 8 Topui Sekona and Captain Sione Lolohea, closing the gap to 35 - 33.
Fuala Makisi scored Junior Japan's sixth try to pull Junior Japan ahead to 42 - 33. Junior Japan maintained it's lead in the remaining 10 minutes of the match to win 42 - 33.
The Fiji Warriors were declared winners of the World Rugby Pacific Challenge after they won their third straight game against Samoa A, winning convincingly 48 - 25.
