Man dies from electrocution in ‘Eua [1]

A 51-year-old man died from electrocution at his home in Ha’atu’a in ‘Eua on Monday, March 6 while doing laundry.

Police in Nuku’alofa said today that Lopeti Touliki ‘Aholahi was found collapsed inside the laundry room at around 4:00pm by a family member.

He was rushed to the hospital but he was confirmed to have already passed away.

An inquest held on Tuesday, March 7 confirmed that he died from electrocution.

The victim was reported to have been washing using their washing machine when the incident occured.
